Children's pajama & sleepwear recalls (flammability)

Sleepwear that failed flammability rules — is your child's affected?

Children's sleepwear must meet federal flammability rules — and the most common reason it's recalled is failing them. TinySafe tracks 45 children's pajamas and sleepwear recalls, the large majority for violating the U.S. flammability standard for children's sleepwear, which can increase the risk of burn injuries. Check whether your child's sleepwear is affected below, and confirm with the CPSC. A product not listed here is not confirmed safe.

What official guidance says
From the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
The children's sleepwear flammability standard
U.S. rules require children’s sleepwear (sizes above 9 months, up to size 14) to be either flame resistant or snug-fitting. Loose, non-flame-resistant sleepwear that doesn't meet the standard can be recalled.
Snug-fitting vs. flame-resistant
Snug-fitting cotton sleepwear is allowed because it's less likely to catch fire and must carry a yellow warning tag. Loose-fitting sleepwear must be flame resistant.
Check the recall and stop use
If your child’s sleepwear is recalled for flammability, stop using it and follow the official instructions for a refund or remedy.

Common questions

Why is children's sleepwear recalled for flammability?
U.S. rules require children's sleepwear to be flame resistant or snug-fitting. Loose, non-flame-resistant sleepwear that fails the federal flammability standard can be recalled because it increases burn risk.
Are my child's pajamas flame resistant?
Children's sleepwear is either flame resistant or snug-fitting cotton with a yellow warning tag. If pajamas are loose and not flame resistant, they may not meet the standard. Check specific products against official recalls on this page.
Which children's pajamas have been recalled?
TinySafe tracks children's pajama and sleepwear recalls, the large majority for failing the federal flammability standard. The full list with official CPSC sources is on this page.
Is snug-fitting cotton sleepwear safe even if not flame resistant?
Snug-fitting sleepwear is permitted under the standard because it's less likely to ignite, and it must carry a yellow warning tag. Loose-fitting sleepwear must be flame resistant. Still check specific products against recalls.
How do I check if my child's sleepwear was recalled?
Find the product or brand on this page or in the TinySafe recall index. Each entry links to the official CPSC recall record so you can confirm the affected items.
